The Watchmen Guide
The biblical gift of prophecy, made accessible: understand what prophetic guidance is, how it works, and how to receive it well.
Prophecy in the New Testament is one of the most beautiful — and misunderstood — gifts. It's not fortune-telling. It's not performance. Paul describes it plainly: "the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort" (1 Corinthians 14:3).
At Watchmen Chat, prophetic guidance is exactly that: a real Christian prophet listens to the Holy Spirit, prays for you, and shares what they sense God saying — always tested against scripture, never presumed as command.
This pillar page unpacks what real prophetic guidance looks like, how to receive it well, and how to know if a "prophetic word" is actually from God.
Every guide is a real, vetted human prophet or pastoral counselor — many with 30+ years of ministry. No AI. No bots. Every word you receive comes from someone who has prayed for you.
Our guides operate in the biblical gift of prophecy — hearing from the Holy Spirit for your encouragement, comfort, and edification (1 Corinthians 14:3). We do not consult spirits, cards, or the dead. Scripture is the plumbline.

Yes — every session is a private 1-on-1 chat between you and one guide. Nothing is shared publicly. Testimonies published on our site have names and identifying details changed.
That's completely fine. Our guides are trained pastoral listeners too. You can ask for prayer, discernment on a decision, encouragement in a hard season — whatever you need in that moment.
